Land/RV. Do you want a quiet place to enjoy solitude or are you looking for adventures? Do you want loved ones to come visit you or do you want to go visit them (and leave when you want to!)? Is this preparation for when SHTF scenario? As they say, to solve the problem you must first clearly identify the problem. Good luck!

Problem is - I want both :)

Second problem is finding the right land near swimmable water. RV could be easier.

Land/RV: Other considerations of course, but the RV begins depreciating immediately. Land not so much. Land is closer to investment while RV is closer to liability. But again, other considerations exist.

Like the idea of a tiny house but land would have to be on pond or a lake. The depreciation could be minimized by buying a used RV and the memories of going to camps by the beaches could make the memories worth it. Can't take it with you mentality.

Was surprised to learn that I've seen the mom from A Christmas Story naked! Merry Christmas!
