If Kamala Harris loses Pennsylvania in the November election it will be popular to either blame her or Tim Walz for Kamala not picking PA Gov Josh Shapiro as VP instead. Think this is more indicative of her being willing to say whatever she wants policy wise, even things she has disagreed with her whole life (fracking, building a wall. etc.) but her actions will always speak louder than words and she was unwilling to pick a pro-Israel VP... Al Horford announced his retirement after 17-years in the NBA. He retires as a champion and I wish him nothing but the best the best. He’s more than earned it... Saw George Carlin when I was young and he was older and he did come off as curmudgeonly and bitter to me. But now he's viewed as a prophet and many of his acidic observations about government and society have proven true. Has Jerry Seinfeld reached that stage too but just with a sunnier disposition?... Learn something new every day: Doctor Strangelove was James Earl Jones first movie and he was also the last surviving cast member. Knew he was in it but didn't realize that was his very first movie or that he was the last remaining member of the cast... OK I'll say it: wonder if the September 10th debate date was chosen because it would take away both from the anniversary of September 11th and the US withdrawal from Afghanistan neither of which anybody in the corporate media seems to be talking about... Women in Pantsuits would be a good name for a female band... James Earl Jones was the voice of CNN since 2001 but the role ended in 2018. CNN has been shit ever since...Wow - I've read where the AP is reporting that since Daniel Jones signed his $160 million contract he's thrown more pick six interceptions than TD's to his own teammates... Agree 100% - and Prince’s guitar never comes back down after he throws it at the end… They say our judicial system is based upon judging you by what you do not by who you are. Tyreek Hill clearly speeding and then protesting his police stop is the definition of the "Do you know who I am" defense. Not even Dolphins fans are happy with him today...

I remember Carlin in the early days, the "7 Dirty Words" days. Loved listening to him. Got a little older, late 20s, I guess, and wished he could clean up the language just a bit so he could reach a wider audience -- he was quite a philosopher and his ideas were worth listening to. The humor came from his delivery, but more so from his well founded observations of our world. I was happy he wrote as I could take him anywhere in print.
