Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

The new $400 billion Air Force One 747 from Qatar could be looked at as a bribe. A bribe to the US President saying "I know Hamas took Americans hostages on October 7th 2023 when you were not even President but they are now released. Please take this new plane as a token of good will and please don't bomb the shit out of Hamas." Are those who are saying this was a corrupt move by Trump to accept the plane also be in favor of bombing the shit out of Hamas instead or do they just not care about American hostages at all?... Funny how a potential trade deal with China or a cease fire in the Ukraine War has moved news of a new American born Pope to the back pages. Just an observation... President Trump signed an Executive Order that could slash drug prices as much as 90% and put American pharmaceutical prices on par with Europe. This will never be signed into law for the simple reason Big Pharma employs one lobbyist for every congressman… Mookie Betts moved from outfield to infield without a protest, Xander Bogaerts was willing to switch positions to help the team, but Rafael Devens isn't willing to switch to first base. But ownership wasn't willing to pay either Betts or Bogaerts. And people wonder why Boston has soured on the Red Sox... It's ironic that probably the Democrat with the best chance of winning an election for President in 2028 probably wouldn't survive the Democratic primaries and debates because he's not "progressive" enough. The politician is surprisingly John Fetterman (the Pope of Greenland)... Take my morning coffee black but recently have been adding a teaspoon of cinnamon for health reasons. Gives a new meaning to “cinnamon swirl” as you literally have to swirl the coffee to dissolve the cinnamon… Have to wonder if the corporate news on Trump will get even more adverse in its coverage as the “news” big sponsors - Big Pharma could see profits disappear after latest EO… The Final Prime Number would be a good name for a funeral home for mathematicians… Illinois coach Brett Bielema has a mantra of “Tough, Smart, and Dependable” or TSD. Think that’s great life advice - be TSD in everything you do… When’s the last time you heard anyone even mention “Bidenomics” - even as a joke? Have the feeling the only time you’ll hear it is during midterm elections with people asking, “Do you really want to go back to Bidenomics?’… These are the times that try Celtics fans souls…
