Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
Some are criticizing President Trump for calling out Justin Trudeau and Canada for kicking out Russia from the G7. Truth is the US has a bigger GDP than all the other G7 nations combined while Canada has the lowest GDP of all the G7 nations. Why was anyone listening to Justin Trudeau to begin with?… The point of view of Israel in the conflict with Iran is simple, "When someone tells you who they are - believe them." The Iranians have consistently said they want to wipe Israel from the map and if they got a nuclear bomb - they might... Recently read John Cleese: Professor at Large a compilation of some of his speeches at Cornell. As entertaining as Cleese may be I have to say I found him in the end to be a bit of a rational pessimist. He was wrong about so many things. Now I have to wonder what I'm getting wrong or pessimistic about?... Cult of Footnotes would be a good name for an X or Substack account on biographies or scientific journals... "We will kill you" then boom!... Could a negotiating tactic of President Trump be, “Listen Vladimir you end the War in Ukraine and I’ll get Russia back into the G7 and the World Cup. Deal?” Stranger things have happened… Both Sean McShay and Bruce Feldman are very high on SC Gamecocks QB LaNorris Sellers and I must say it's getting me pretty excited for college football (and it's not even officially summer)... Think about the positive outcome not the effort... Just an observation but the thing about the Democratic Party that can be so off-putting is the sense they get that by being a Democrat they are automatically smarter or superior to any Republican. Just look at how they treated men like Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Ronald Reagan, or Abraham Lincoln for examples… You can have what you want in 5-years if you aim for it... Tonight is game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals and though I’m not rooting for Florida to finish it - I am saying that they’re cutting it close to having ice hockey be played in the summer…
