Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

The US and Ukraine have reportedly signed an agreement for rare earths and minerals. This is the first step towards an overall peace agreement ending the War in Ukraine with Russia. Don’t be surprised to see the media ignores this story too… At least if the Babylon Bee had made up a story that Tesla was looking for a new CEO via a HR firm - they would have added that the candidate must conform with DEI principles. And they would have been joking. Turns out its the WSJ that’s the joke… The NIH will now make any study that they pay for (with taxpayer dollars) free to the public to examine. Long been an advocate that all government departments should do this. Not only is it a vehicle for full transparency of how tax dollars are being spent but it’s also the best way to receive criticism or suggestions on how to improve… Reportedly China removes their 125% tariffs on US ethane imports. This isn't a sign that they want to negotiate. They is a sign they need our energy... The problem with the Democratic Party is that they have no bench and have driven away their top stars. Look no further than the Trump Cabinet meeting celebrating 100 days in office. You had RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Elon Musk, and even Donald Trump himself - all should be the face of the new DNC but instead they are the present and future of the Republican Party… Never thought about this before but Alberta doesn't have to become a US state - they could become an independent nation. I would immediately support agreeing to a free trade deal with them if they did. They reportedly just need 177,000 signatures to put it to a vote... Still say that all US military bases should have a small form nuclear plants to insure clean power at all times. If a governor of a state protests then that bases and all the jobs that goes with it can be moved out of state elsewhere. This could be politically difficult but it's the right thing... Abstruse Concepts would be a good name for an X or Substack account... I would also support Alberta joining NATO if they wanted and became an independent nation - maybe even taking Canada's place... Florida is set to ban fluoride in the drinking supply statewide. This could become a big selling point for real estate agents in getting people to move... Teetering Blobs of Dread and Dream would be a good name for a band (but maybe just shorten it to Dread and Dreams)...
