College intellectuals: How about gilded pansies? I thought of another one beginning with "p" but that's not of the flower family.
Dr. Sowell: I know his three questions are at least a decade old but they are just as important and useful today. Thanks for the reminder. I think unfortunately he has probably done his last writing as his last book was 4 years ago and I don't see any recent published papers of recent.
In Massachusetts we often refer to the City of Cambridge as the "People Republic" of Cambridge. Think "People's Republic" denoting a communist enclave would be more fitting than "ivory tower."
Thomas Sowell is far more deserving than anyone Biden put forth as a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Hope he is awarded it shortly after Trump is inaugurated. Well past time he's given this honor.
Yep. Familiar with Cambridge. Retired USAF 1993 and moved to Haverhill because Peabody was where the job was. Lasted 6 years and couldn't stand MA anymore so moved to FL. And no, it wasn't the cold weather -- did tours in IL, ND, and ROK before. :-)
Yes, but it took some time to get through the list of weirdness. Worchester, Haverhill (where I lived), etc.
