Raise the tax rate on those making $5+ million and eliminate them for those making less than $50k? NO NO NO! We already have almost 50% of wage earners either paying no tax or getting credits. Once you get to 50%, then people openly vote for raping the Treasury! No Federal income tax on those making less than $50k and a FLAT tax on everyone else. No exemptions or deductions. Then, everyone will vote to cut the budget! Don’t see it happening but it’s the right thing to do.
President Trump has talked about a similar idea but his twist would be to make up for the lost tax revenue with tariffs. I agree with that but by making tariffs. My idea would be that only people in the top 1% of earners worldwide (over $50k) would be paying taxes. We already have no taxes for students - this would eliminate that and make it universal. Besides with NIL money many college athletes are making much more than $50k.
Interesting take. I’m all for tariffs being used to level the playing field and the revenue being used to minimize or eliminate the income tax. The Founding Fathers got it right the first time in the Constitution. Alas, there is limited opportunities for graft & corruption among the ruling class if you get away from the income tax.
Channeling you here . . . Soccer is for the kids who couldn’t make the football team. It is like watching WNBA without CC. . . boring. IMHO, Stairway to Heaven doesn’t even make Zeppelin’s Best Ten Songs, yet part of America has a love affair with it. As far as Ms. Wilson, I never felt the same about her after reading (her book) about her long time affair with Ian Hunter. A runner up for best cover may be this one . . . https://youtu.be/HarLMVwirJg?si=KbRtwu8p_bOMzGMp
I’ll have to find the Cash Cover, but the Prince cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps at that concert (can’t recall name) cemented him as a. Great guitarist.
Bob Love is the famous Bull that I remember growing up.
Before my time but I grew up a Celtics fan and could name many players who were retired by the time I was born.

I agree - played 2 seasons of spring soccer but only because I was bored. It was after baseball and before football started.
Soccer was like cross country - sports for kids cut from the football team or who didn't want to tackle, No offense to either sport.
My favority covers remain Johnny Cash's Hurt and the version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps that had a Prince guitar solo at the end.
