Should be remembered that just two years ago Saudi Arabia and Russia were having an "oil war" with Saudi Arabia wanting to keep supply low to keep prices high while Russia was flooding the world with oil to undercut US shale oil and gas and to also grab as much of the Asian market as possible. The US under President Trump was fine with both as America had become energy independent and had good relations with both nations. Today Saudi Arabia won't even take a call from Joe Biden but are now more than willing to speak with Vladimir Putin. Expect the higher prices Saudi Arabia wants to stay in place until the US once again becomes energy independent... With the moves toward digital currencies from nations and crypto currencies like Bitcoin and Ether - I wonder if there's a market for something like the old American Express Travelers Checks for people who are skeptical of both? Credit cards originally killed travelers checks but I wonder if they may make a comeback. Stranger things have happened... In World War I - Germany relied on an inflexible and greatly flawed Schlieffen Plan as their blueprint for war. It was a disaster. I wonder if Russia had a Schlieffen Plan of their own they tried to follow in their War in Ukraine... Russell Wilson was traded from Seattle to Denver for three players and a slew of draft picks and I have to say that for the past two years I think Wilson has been the most overrated player in the NFL. I wouldn't trade him for Patriots QB Mac Jones straight up... The idea that the Biden Administration would rather make a new Iran deal to allow Iran's oil to replace Russian oil instead of just retracting the ban on the Keystone XL pipeline is an illustration of how feckless, clueless and evil these people are... One language bit leftover from military terms used in the first World War is the meteorologists use of the word "front." Whether it be a "storm front" or otherwise the every day descriptions we hear to describe moving belts of high or low pressure comes from World War I... May sound silly but I wonder if there may be a minor bidding war for the services of backup QB Brian Hoyer between the Patriots and Los Vegas. Hoyer is capable and is like having another coach in the room which is important in NE as Mac Jones is still learning the offense and with Josh McDaniels gone he could probably use some additional support. Meanwhile the Raiders will be implementing McDaniels new offense and Hoyer could help Dereck Carr learn it. Guessing Hoyer could wind up with a $2 million one-year deal from either team... I detest Daylight Savings! Why can't we just "spring forward" the clocks this weekend and just leave it there?... Let's not forget that China is complicit in the War in Ukraine as they were able to get Putin to concede not to start his "special military operations" until after the Beijing Winter Olympics. China is our enemy and should be treated as such... Observation I've made before and I know that stereotyping is bad but if I see the back of your car has 10 or more bumper stickers and two of them are for Coexist and Bernie Sanders - I'm going to go ahead and assume your home smells like cat piss... As always if this column has made you smile or think - don't be afraid to hit the like button. Also please subscribe (it's FREE) and share with your friends. Thanks in advance..

"Why can't we just "spring forward" the clocks this weekend and just leave it there?"
Don't know if you're old enough to remember, but we tried that once before, in the 70s (during the original oil crisis, I think). One result was that in the winter kids were walking to school in the dark due to the later sunrise.
