China's next generation nuclear sub is said to have sunk prior to being launched back in June. No explanation for the failure has been forthcoming. Interesting... The fact that Jill Biden started out as babysitter for Joe Biden but now is a babysitter for Joe Biden himself is sad. The fact that he is technically still President is scary... There's a Chinese curse saying someone should "fart dust." I like that... So true... UNLV QB (and former Holy Cross athlete) Matt Sluka decides to redshirt after only 3 games and will probably enter the transfer portal because he said he was promised $100k in NIL money but was only paid $3 k and UNLV says they met their obligations. I'm on team Sluka on this because of the Holy Cross connection and have to wonder how this may effect the Rebels recruiting efforts. Now it's very publicly out there that UNLV may not honor their recruiting promises... Given the name of all the members wouldn't State Farm be a natural sponsor of the Pac 12?... Hardly surprising… Speaking of the election - North Carolina just removed 750,000 ineligible voters from the voting rolls, both duplicates and dead people. But we're expected to believe that the last election was the most secure ever...  The UNLV Matt Sluka situation is another reason why these NIL deals should be run through the university's (with the team taking 10-15% for their trouble) and the whole thing regulated by the NCAA. Not a fan of the NCAA in general but less a fan of unscrupulous boosters trying to make money off the efforts of college athletes... Have to thank Tom Brady and Bill Belichick for most New England bars having Amazon Prime for Thursday night football. No bar wanted to risk missing out on a Pats game otherwise that night would be dead... Barry Zito sang the national anthem while Rickey Henderson and Dave Stewart thew out the first pitch in yesterday's final game at the Oakland Coliseum. The A's won multiple Word Series in my lifetime and I actually saw multiple games there. I even once owned an A's hat. I'll never own another thing owned by that franchise though. Screw them... Another reason I'm on team Sluka is the simple realization that you usually seek out a lawyer (in this case "representation") after you have been lied to about receiving what was agreed on. That seems to be the case here but I haven't seen this angle portrayed anywhere else...
