Congress voted 422-2 to ban anyone who participated in the October 7th Hamas attacks on Israel from immigrating to the US. Democrats Rashida Tlaib and Corey Bush were the two to vote against the measure. What no Ilhan Omar or AOC?... Tesla to hold shareholder vote to change state of incorporation from Delaware to Texas. This could be the first of many companies to abandon Delaware because they are politicizing everything... Never thought about this and now I can’t stop... College sports is in a strange place and is in a state of transition. The NCAA is an authoritarian organization that doesn't seem to have a place in this new NIL world. At this point why would anyone listen to them? Just sue them and they're almost guaranteed to lose in the courts... Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas is now the largest passenger ship in the world and can hold 7,600 passengers. That's the size of a good size town... Heh Heh... A lot of people are comparing Patrick Mahomes' Super Bowl success to Tom Brady’s (this is premature in my mind) but the better comparison may be the Kansas City Chiefs to the 2004-2004 New England Patriots as being possibly the first team to win back to back Super Bowls since then... Remember last year when every Democrat in Congress voted to keep masking, vaccine mandates, Covid emergency laws, and lockdown in place? Wonder why they did that? Did any of them ever pay a price for being so wrong? Has any “journalist" tried to get answers to these questions?... Who else us curious to see if Joe Biden can make it all the way through a State of the Union speech this year?... Yesterday was the ninth anniversary of Malcom Butler's interception against Seattle in the Super Bowl. Like many in New England - I remember right where I was the moment it happened... 150 Congressional Democrats also voted not to deport illegals caught driving while drunk. If MADD doesn't send out a fund-raising email decrying their votes you'll know that organization has been compromised... Peter Thiel and a group of venture capitalists announce an Olympic-type event that will allow PED's. Long been a fan of just letting an athlete use what ever they want to test the limits of human physical accomplishment. I definitely would tune in for this... Not for nothing but everyone was telling Washington what a great hire Ron Rivera would be too. How did that work out?... So are we now experiencing the opposite of the "Roaring 20's" from 100-years ago?... Lot of questions today...

I'm not a fan of comparing active players to retired players. The active player may accomplish more or they may have a quick decline. Compare done to done.
One obvious similarity between 1920s and 2020s is both decades followed a pandemic. In the 1920s, that resulted in a boom economy (followed by a worldwide recession). Will we see that again? I don't know. There's a major difference in how the government handled the pandemics from one century to the other. Will the ridiculous government spending and resultant inflation derail the potential boom? Time will tell.
