I'm not a fan of comparing active players to retired players. The active player may accomplish more or they may have a quick decline. Compare done to done.

One obvious similarity between 1920s and 2020s is both decades followed a pandemic. In the 1920s, that resulted in a boom economy (followed by a worldwide recession). Will we see that again? I don't know. There's a major difference in how the government handled the pandemics from one century to the other. Will the ridiculous government spending and resultant inflation derail the potential boom? Time will tell.

Agree and I'm also not a fan on how some people crown active players "the greatest ever" when it's clear that's either premature or not true.
