Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

So President Biden called a reporter a "stupid son of a bitch." Talk about projection... Walmart Canada is going to require proof of vaccination in order to shop there. I'm amused and bothered by this at the same time. Part of me chuckles wondering, "but where are the Trailer Park Boys going to get their Canadian tuxedoes now?" While part of me is bothered by the fact that in America and Canada when the pandemic hit the mom-and-pop stores had to close while the big box stores like Walmart were allowed to stay open. Now many of the mom-and-pop stores went out of business. There's going to be a major backlash to this. Walmart is being politically tone-deaf on the issue... Going to guess that in at least one Catholic Church in Green Bay this past Sunday a priest mentioned how unfair it is that the church has patron saints for beekeepers and bell makers but not a single one for football special teams coaches... It is a bit amusing that in nominating Joe Biden for President the Democrats thought they were getting The Best of Bread - something innocuous and safe but what they actually ended up with was Yoko Ono. Nobody wants Yoko Ono in their lives... Look back on all those hours you wasted playing Words with Friends and now ask yourself how much time you're wasting on your daily Wordle... You're supposed to learn something new every day - today I learned that Neil Young is still alive. Probably not going to be able to do anything with that tidbit of knowledge... To be fair to President Biden - I didn't care when Trump or other President's like LBJ or George W used curse words directed at reporters and I really don't care now... Historical fact that may only interest me: the letter "M" comes from a pre-Canaanite hieroglyph pronounced "mem" meaning water and shaped like waves... Here's a fun thought experiment - if President Biden and Fox News' Peter Doocy were to go heads-up on Celebrity Jeopardy - who do you think would win? No matter what party you vote for try to do the thought experiment honestly... Once a thought gets in your head it is often tough to get rid of: case in point - my brain made a connection between Hunter Biden and Swiper from Dora the Explorer and now whenever I see a picture of Hunter Biden my brain says, "Swiper stop swiping!"...  As always if this column has made you smile or think - don't be afraid to hit the like button.
