Amused trying to figure out what story got more media coverage - the story that Shohei Ohtani signed a historic 10-year $700 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Or the later story that Ohtani was deferring $68 million a year for 10-years. Love that Ohtani is avoiding so much of the California income tax (they have the highest tax rate in the Union). He can later move to states with no income tax like Texas or Florida or back home to Japan. Meanwhile he has millions in endorsement money he can live off... Veritas means "truth" in Latin. It also happens to be the Harvard school motto. The truth is Harvard's president is a plagiarist and if the school does nothing about it then their school motto should be "mud" not "veritas"... If you are of a certain age - Ulf Samuelsson remains one of the biggest villains in Boston sports. I hate Ulf Samuelsson… One of the hallmarks of being a good mom is that your children call you when questioning if something in the fridge is still good to eat... Who knew? The first Republican candidate for President was not Abraham Lincoln but John C. Fremont who was thought by some to be a shameless self-promoter. The more politics change... According to Massimo the longest televised golf putt of 160 feet was made by none other that 23-time gold medal winner Michael Phelps. He may have been the last guy I would have guessed... If you refused to get a booster shot - Harvard University would kick you out. If you are caught as a plagiarists - then Harvard’s Board of Directors will publicly support you… It's been a year since Mike Leach passed. I still miss Mike Leach. If you haven't read the book of the first half of Mike's life called Swing Your Sword - you should give it a read... Interesting question but is copying text from an AI the same as plagiarizing a human? And should it therefore carry the same punishments?... Kinda of like this approach of taking a proven QB's from the transfer portal instead of hoping younger prospects grow into the role...
