Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina is readying a potential run at the 2024 Republican nomination for President. Scott has a campaign war chest of over $21 million and is well respected. It would be a mistake to take Scott lightly at the very least he could position himself as the VP candidate of choice... JRR Tolkien just barely survived the trench warfare of WW I. Makes you wonder how many literary or scientific geniuses from both sides in WW I weren't so lucky. What potential losses to civilization were inflicted?... Understand that the same marketing people who brought you a transgender Bud Light spokesperson are working on a big budget reworking of the Ice Capades as a drag queen extravaganza. Sure it will be a big hit... Has any event received less promotion than the 2023 White House Correspondents Dinner? It's set for April 29th with comedian Roy Wood Jr. (who?) set to host. What's happened to all the hype for the "nerd prom?"... Glenn Reynolds wrote two years ago that, "Companies should have to get shareholder permission to take political stances." I think the collapse of Bud Light proves this to be a wise policy... Should be clear by now that the publishing industry and journalism in general is clearly transphobic. Why else could a white man, the Unabomber, be able to publish their manifesto but the Nashville shooter not be able to get theirs published? The publishing industry clearly needs to be more inclusive... Reminder that John Kerry has always been an idiot... New Coke had Bill Cosby as their spokesperson meanwhile Bud Light has Dylan Mulvaney. That's a tough one... Still say that there should be blue colored MAGA hats for Democrats who are sick of the "Progressive" tilt of their party...
