YouTube just shut down Russell Brand's channel on their service. Looks like Brand will be moving on to the Rumble platform and I'm guessing many of his six million followers will be going with him. Think telling the truth violates YouTube's terms of service these days... One morning Gregor Samsa woke up and discovered he was a New York Jets fan... Looks like YouTube has also taken down Giorgia Meloni's 2019 speech that so many people had been linking to or quoting since Meloni became the first woman Prime Minister of Italy. It was also taken down for violating YouTube's terms of service. When someone tells you who they are - believe them. YouTube, and their corporate owners Google are telling you who they are. The one thing Russell Brand from the Left and Giorgia Meloni from the Right had in common was that they were telling the truth as they see it about the way things are in the world... The War in Ukraine gets the blame for most everything like high gas prices and inflation but how come the financial chaos going on in China never does? The world's second largest economy has serious self-inflicted issues in their real estate and banking sectors but China never gets any blame. Not even for releasing a worldwide pandemic that is also a root cause for our current inflation... Dick Vitale was a pretty handsome guy back in the day (when he had hair)... Of all of America's natural resources - our freedoms are the greatest and most precious things we have. It hurts my very soul to see us giving up our liberties bit by bit. To me it's worse than deciding to use the Grand Canyon as a landfill... Hugh Jackman is reprising his role as Wolverine in Deadpool III but we'll have to wait until September 2024 to see it on screen,,, One of the best 5-year runs of anyone in any field was by Hollywood screenwriter Jeb Stuart who was a credited screenwriter on Die Hard (1988), Another 48 Hours (1990), and The Fugitive (1993). That's 3 classic films in just 5-years... And speaking of screenwriters, who knew that David Milch (creator of Deadwood) was a fraternity brother of George W. Bush while at Yale... Clips of Meloni's powerful speech are still up on Twitter. Heed her words and warnings while you still can (EDIT - apparently not all copies of the speech have been taken down)...
