Wednesday Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

The Biden Administration tries to blame Vladimir Putin and the War in Ukraine for high gas prices and inflation but nobody's buying that. How soon before the rest of the world blames America for inflation in their country because of the Biden Administration printing trillions in new money with nothing backing it? I can see that happening... Never believed in UFO's before because the physics of getting from distant galaxies never made sense to me. However, the recent sightings and revelations from the US military and government make denying their existence pretty tough. An explanation that makes sense to me is that these crafts are not extraterrestrial but terrestrial from here on earth. Perhaps advanced civilizations from thousands of years ago (think Graham Hancock's theories) still survive and these "tic-tack" crafts fighter pilots have videoed belong to them... Have little interest in Thursday's NBA draft probably mainly because the Celtics don't have a 1st round pick (imagine many other fan bases with no pick are also in the same boat). I am curious about reports that Charlotte may be interested in trading Gordon Haywood's contract. Personally I'd love to see Haywood back in Boston and wonder if the Celts have the assets to make that happen and if Haywood would be interested in returning... Bourke Cochran is one of those interesting characters whose memory has mostly been lost in the sands of time. Among other things, he's credited by some for introducing Winston Churchill to cigar smoking... Prove me wrong - the Biden Administration has put as much thought and planning into their energy policies as they put into the withdrawal from Afghanistan... Said this before but it becomes more and more clear that Deshaun Watson's legal team plans to try and drag the four remaining complainants (he’s settled with 20 others) as well as Robert Kraft and Jerry Jones through the mud (you can't drag Daniel Snyder through the mud because he already lives there). I feel sorry for the four women and for Robert Kraft. I hope their strategy backfires in a big way... A less reasonable but more amusing explanation for why we're seeing so many UFO's today would be that they are from earth from an ancient  civilization that has long been monitoring humans without interfering but the recent Geico caveman "so easy a cavemen could do it" ads have ticked them off. Perhaps this ancient civilization evolved from Neanderthals and these commercials offended them to the point they wanted to show how advanced they are compared to us stupid humans. Makes me chuckle to think that... Hill I'll die on - Rob Gronkowski is by far the best tight end in NFL history. To me nobody else is even close.
