Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
The Boston Celtics have signed Jaylen Brown to a 5-year $304 million max contract. On one hand I have to wonder what took so long but on the other hand I agree that the supermax creates as many problems as it solves and I'm wondering if the other shoe is about to drop... Think if C-SPAN re-ran the Congressional January 6th Hearings just as they were - that their ratings would double as people tune in just to spot the lies and ask themselves, "They really wanted us to believe this?"... Coming soon... At this point I'd have to put the over/under on when Northwestern fires or has President Michael Schiller resign at Labor Day. Not really convinced this goes over... So Futurama is coming back for an 8th season on Hulu after being uncancelled once again. Yet we never got another season of Firefly... Who knew? Being a chef and seeing Michele Obama's penis is more dangerous than having dirt on the Clintons... Also did not know that the old Twitter Bird was called Larry after NBA great Larry Bird. I miss Larry Bird... In the Midwest if someone says, "I'll let you know" - that means they're not coming. In the Northeast if someone says, "How's that!" - it means say it one more time and I'm putting you in the hospital... I'm suing Northwestern - all the cool kids are doing it... Seeing friends regularly and getting plenty of sleep goes a long way toward curing existentialism. Also pleased that Albert Camus did not like when people called him an existentialist. He must have gotten plenty of sleep... Question that keeps me up nights - can a cat get sick as a dog?... Not sure I believe the rumor that Elon Musk chose X because Menbrum Virile was not available... Think the political slogan, "Let's Get the Bastards" would work for either party. This would be popular for the base. Tell them we're not taking any more BS from those liars (even though your side may be doing most of the lying). Money in the bank. Have the T-shirts and bumper stickers printed up... Boston is lucky. First we had the basketball Jesus in Larry Bird and now we've had the Black and Gold Jesus in Patrice Bergeron... The FBI these days seem a reincarnation of the post-Augustin Praetorian Guard embolden toward tying to determine the political destiny of the nation. Said it before but its time to move their HQ out of DC an into to Salt Lake City. The Praetorian Guard was emboldened by being the only military stationed in Rome just as the FBI is currently stationed in Washington... Think if I were put in charge for a day - I'd make a rule that all big pharma products have to be named after a real word that currently appears in the dictionary and not some made up mishmash of letters. Who's with me?... If you Google "Northwestern schedule" you'd come up with their academic schedule. Try that at an SEC school and you'll see how the priorities differ...
