It has been reported that thousands of hours of video from January 6th in DC are being released to Tucker Carlson and Fox News. Though I welcome the release of the video I'm not sure if I agree with singling out a single program on a single network for access. This isn't a private company like Twitter giving full access to a select group of journalists. This is the federal government and the playing of favorites by one side is wrong no matter what... Susan Wojcicki quietly stepped down as CEO of YouTube after nine years on the job. Is it me or did this announcement receive very little attention?... When they make the movie about corruption at Pfizer I hope they cast Jeroen Krabbe to play Albert Bouria, the CEO of Pfizer. Krabbe played the bad guy Dr. Charles Nichols in The Fugitive... If I owned a pub - I'd serve loaded nachos but I'd also have a sharable appetizer called "Big Bacon" which would just be a pound of crispy bacon. I imagine it would be a big seller... Many believe that it was Ronald Reagan that first described the USSR as "the evil empire" but it was actually JFK. Guess Kennedy's accent made it hard to paint him as a cowboy though... An important point that gets little attention is with all the military material we're sending to Ukraine - our own stock of weapons and ammunition is getting seriously depleted. And if the Republicans call for more military spending the Democrats and the Biden Administration may finally claim that there's not enough money for something... This is the least enthused I've been for Spring Training since I was a kid and didn't know what baseball was. The fact that the Red Sox will probably suck is probably a big part of this malaise...Reality and Void would be a good name for a blog or Substack account. Or as a way to describe the Marvel movies up to and including Avengers: Endgame and then what came after... You learn something new every day: Hunter S. Thompson's suicide note was titled "Football Season is Over." Thompson killed himself 18-years ago this week... Given how cavalier the Biden Administration has been with the potential for nuclear war over our participation in the War in Ukraine, now may be a good time to remind people of Able Archer 83, a NATO exercise that nearly caused a nuclear first-strike by the USSR. We came very close back then and that was when capable people were in charge...
