There have been multiple reports of pre-Elon Twitter employees rejecting people's requests for Blue Checks only to have these employees approach the people privately saying if they paid upwards of $1,500 directly to those employees that the Blue Check could be approved. If true could these employees be prosecuted under RICO? Elon Musk should press charges against these people but let others know if they come forward as whistleblowers they could avoid prosecution. Think any sympathy for laid off Twitter employees is out the window... Did the Indianapolis Colts just provide more proof for Brian Flores' discrimination lawsuit against the NFL? The Colts certainly did not adhere to the Rooney Rule before naming Jeff Saturday as their interim head coach. The good old boys network is the backbone of Flores argument.. Would also be interesting to see a list of people who gave in to the blackmailers to get their Blue Checkmarks. Think that could be an entertaining list... For perspective on how much the Democratic Party has changed keep in mind that President Obama did not come out in favor of gay marriage until 2012. Now 10-years later the LGBTQ+ contingent of the Democratic Party basically controls the entire narrative of the party... This may only interest me but I would love to track the number of Disney+ subscribers compared to the number of Twitter Blue Check accounts. Guessing within two years Twitter will pass Disney+ in number of paid accounts. Think that for many reasons but the similarity of their monthly pricing is the main reason I'm curious... The reason there's 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour and 360 degrees in a circle is because the Ancient Babylonians did math in base 60 not base 10. A little historical remnant reminder for your day... Some people are tracing back the problems with the Colts to the sudden retirement of Andrew Luck but I think the bad karma stems from Indianapolis getting their asses kicked in the rain in Foxboro during the AFC Championship game and blaming it on deflated footballs. Everyone involved in that hoax seems to have gotten some sort of karmic retribution. The Colts and Jim Irsay continue to get theirs... Speaking of karma - Texas is favored by 7 points against TCU Saturday night but part of me wonders how fair Big 12 refs are going to be to the Longhorns given that Texas is bolting the league for the SEC and TCU is the Big 12's best chance to place a team in the playoffs. Just saying... Not always the best with math but at $8 a month even if Elon Musk doubles the current reported number of Blue Checks and was able to operate the company at $0 per year - it would still take 600 years to recoup his $44 billion investment if that $8 per month was the only revenue stream… My favorite part of the day after the elections is no more irritating political ads. Actually voted against one local candidate yesterday because their ads were so annoying... As always if this column has made you smile or think - don't be afraid to hit the like button.
