The global war on free speech does give me hope in a sense (especially the war against X). An animal fights the hardest when it feels cornered and woke leftism certainly feels cornered today. The woke left really feels threatened by free speech and by people hearing the truth. They’re fighting because they feel everything slipping away... Just a thought but could rookie Ricky Pearsall's return after 4-games of rehabbing his gunshot wound provide the 49ers the team building chemistry needed to get San Fran over the hump? Who on the team wouldn't be pulling for the rookie wide receiver?... We did it once - we can do it again... Yesterday was the anniversary of in 1783 the Treaty of Paris was signed officially ending the American Revolution. This date should be more widely taught and celebrated in the US... Donald Trump has floated the idea of using business leaders like Elon Musk to help identify governmental wasteful spending. Imagine this would also include Nicole Shanahan on general spending plus RFK Jr. to help identify ways the FDA or CDC are mis-spending tax-payer funds... Question which will now keep me up at night… Yesterday was also the anniversary of 1777 when the Americans fought the British at the Battle of Cooch's Bridge. Slightly surprised more teenage boys don't remember that date simply because it sounds dirty... Donald Trump reportedly also now says that if elected he’ll release the list of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients who visited his pleasure island on the Lolita Express. Talk about backing people into a corner… Country music has become the counterculture protest music of today. This happened so slowly don't think most people noticed because they're still listening to Crosby, Stills, & Nash or Greenday... More US history… Labor Day serves as the unofficial end of summer and the start of the school year. What I wonder is whether it is also the end of the yard sale season or whether that keeps going on. Either way OK by me since my weekends are now generally spent drinking beer and watching football...

A quibble: Trump -- I don't think said he would release Epstein data, rather that he would be inclined to do so. As opposed to his other "I will . . ." statements, I wonder if he purposely hedged on that one or it it was just a matter of unremarkable phrasing. Or I could have read incorrectly.
BTW: Given that Tim Walz is a compulsive liar (I actually met one in the Air Force and was an integral part of getting him discharged), I wonder if his time in China is really that much of a problem. Heh. Possible, I think, that the Chinese may have spent more time trying to unravel his bullshit than what any accidental truth might have been worth?
