I enjoyed last night’s speech by President Trump although have to admit it was a bit long. The main takeaway from the night was how fun the Republicans looked in comparison to the Democrats who came off as actually hating America or fun… Some supposedly reputable news outlets were reporting that an "unknown" buyer bid $36k for a pair of Magnus Carlson's jeans. That "unknown" is Dr. Peter Attia who has a top rated podcast The Drive and will be hosting the chess champion on an upcoming episode. Carlson already did a podcast with Joe Rogan and it was very entertaining... During Trump’s speech I kept wondering what threat the Democrats were under if they broke ranks and clapped or cheered? Seriously what’s the inside story on that? Even on issues that could affect their home state or district no Dems seemed to cheer anything… One of the underappreciated ramifications of Trump's election is that the chances of China invading Taiwan in the next 4-years have greatly decreased. The opposite would have been true if Kamala were elected... Think a video of Trump talking about Joe Biden or “the previous administration” followed by a clip of Joe Biden just going “come on man” each time would be amusing… DOGE (and Elon Musk) have cancelled about $1.5 billion in government DEI contracts already. None of the Dems cheered this news either… James Dennehy, the head of the FBI field office in New York has been asked to resign. The next step is to remove his top secret clearance followed by criminal charges if he in any way obstructed the Jeffrey Epstein case. In an ironic turn of events an FBI agent could wind up the first person being charged in relation to the Epstein client list… This is funny… One has to wonder if a potential lessening of sanctions on Russia will lead to a sudden influx of Russian mail-order brides? Or if the declining population makes keeping them in the mother country a priority... Don’t think Maine’s Janet Mills could be elected dogcatcher now… As mentioned in the speech last night - Ukrainian President Zelensky sent a letter saying he agrees to the mineral deal with the US. Have to wonder if Zelensky realizes how badly he screwed up the situation, he found out that nobody in the EU was willing to step forward to provide the help the US did, or if someone else in Ukraine forced him to send a letter. Probably a combination of all three… Reminder that China's current population is 1.411 billion while India's is 1.438 billion. Is it any wonder the US is pivoting to more India-centric policies? (Census numbers as of 2023)... Good for Italian PM Merloni who said she will not be sending any of Italy’s troops to Ukraine as peacekeepers… Saddened to hear of the passing of Carl Dean - Dolly Parton’s husband of 60 years. RIP…
