Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

One book I'm looking forward to is Walter Isaacson's biography on Elon Musk. Isaacson is currently working on the book and it seems he has lots of access to Elon at the moment which should provide a tremendous behind the scenes look at Musk's acquisition of Twitter. Isaacson previously did biographies on Steve Jobs, Einstein, and others... In the 1980's there was a mass psychosis event that happened in the United States where millions of people were somehow convinced that Cindi Lauper's voice was something other than nails on a chalkboard... Assuming employee stock options vest with the sale of the company - it will be interesting to see how many cash out and leave Twitter because of Elon Musk and free speech. Equally telling will be how many stay to work in a much less "woke" work environment... The Boston Celtics looked really strong in their sweep of the Brooklyn Nets. Meanwhile the series reminded everyone that Kevin Durant is 33-years old and he has been in the league for 15-years. The window for him being the centerpiece of a championship team may have closed before our very eyes... As bad as Warner Brothers sinking $300 million into the launch and then immediately closing shop on CNN+ was - at least the Boys and Girls clubs weren't defrauded out of hundreds of thousands of dollars as collateral damage as was the case in the Air America debacle... Talk about inflation (grade or otherwise): when I was in high school the SAT had a perfect score of 1600. Now it's 2400. When I proudly tell my kids I had 1300 on the SAT - they think I'm a moron... With everyone talking about Elon Musk buying Twitter - now would be the perfect time for the US to buy Greenland while everyone's distracted... Why hasn't Taylor Swift commented on Elon Musk buying Twitter yet? What is she trying to hide?... Donald Trump says the he will not return to Twitter. He will remain on TRUTH Social instead. I think this is a big mistake by the former President. Huge! TRUTH Social is doomed with Elon at the helm of Twitter and the Donald will look small if he returns when the failure of TRUTH Social becomes inevitable...
