Today could be a big day in human history as it is scheduled to be the first flight of the SpaceX Starship. Not many marked the first successful launch of the Atlas rocket as the first step in our journey to the moon but this could be our first step in our journey to Mars… Interesting. Could the Trump Administration be playing possum until their tax cuts are written into law?… Seems to me that Jake Tapper has lost all credibility as a journalist. Now whenever Tapper pushes back in the least the person he's interviewing can simply say "Your just covering up the truth again" and what can Tapper say?... Is it bad that the NBA or Stanley Cup finals aren’t even here and I’m already looking forward to football season?… Good advice from Jordan Peterson… If I were President for a day I’d do two things to shore up science in the US. First I’d make any study or paper that was partially or wholly funded by a federal grant free for any citizen to read - no paywalls. There’s a tremendous amount of citizen scientists out there - why not make it easier to access them and for them to access information? Second - I’d strike from the books any regulation is is based on science that is non-reproducible… For no reason I picked up book two of Lord of the Rings and just started re-reading it over the weekend. Now I’m hooked and got to finish it (again)… A reminder of the importance of the “silent service”… Gas prices are amongst the lowest they’re been in decades. Most people don’t really worry about stocks or bonds - they worry what it costs to fill up the tank and if there’s money left over which determines if they are eating ribs at the cookout or hot dogs again… Sam Harris is in the news because he admits he never saw Joe Biden’s dementia coming. He’s supposed to be a genius neuroscientist too but he’s never admitted his own TDS either. You should never fool yourself and you’re the easiest person to fool. That’s advice Harris never seemed to internalize…
