Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Donald Trump finally uttering the phrase "Make American great again" in his Inaugural Address gave out the same type of instant reaction as Captain America finally saying "Avengers assemble" in Avengers Endgame... Another way to look at the 90-day extension given to TikTok is that Trump's actually giving users 90-days to find new video platforms knowing that these people notoriously wait until the last minute and missed the original deadline... I would agree with this… Question has to be asked but did Ravens' Mark Andrews become Baltimore's answer to Dallas' Jack Smith on Sunday? People tend to remember Smith's dropped pass in the endzone but forget he was also named to the Hall of Fame in Canton... Don't think traditional media will enjoy the type of ratings lift an anti-Trump news bent may have given them the last time around. Now many more people don't believe them and they're the networks that cried wolf at this point... Joe Biden gave out so many pardons on his way out of office that there are bound to be a ton of politicians upset that they broke the law for him but didn't get one too... Possibly lost in the news about the Inauguration was the fact that Marco Rubio was confirmed by the Senate as the new Secretary of State by a unanimous 99-0 vote… It is amusing that many of the same people who thought packing the Supreme Court or saying that a President could unilaterally forgive student debt are also accusing Donald Trump of being a dictator wannabe. They seem to lack all self-awareness or irony... I feel seen… "TikTok is the kindest, bravest, warmest, and most wonderful video platform I've ever known in my life" - TikTok users probably... Word that has really become an insult is "gruel." Think about it - every time you hear it its used as a put down. It used to be a basic staple food of life often sweetened by things like sugar, honey, fruits or spices. Now it was to be marketed to the masses as "oatmeal"... Javier Milei weighs in… Would love to see this new administration have money diverted from any military DEI requirements (including personnel) and put into ammunition for military training and use on actual targets instead... To be clear - everyone who got a pardon from Joe Biden is a criminal and should be thought of as one. If you were a victim remember that this pardon is only for federal crimes and does not apply to any civil case of state laws that may have been broken… Congrats to Ohio State for their very convincing victory over Notre Dame last night. They were the better team but still feel the Fighting Irish had a successful year…
