As he was dying in 2011, Steve Jobs was still working on Siri. People forget that this was one of the first popular forms of AI for mass consumption. In many ways it has yet to be surpassed... Sometimes I want to believe in God because I also want to believe in a special place in hell for spammers... Just throwing this out as an idea but how about Theo Epstein as President of the Bears? He already showed he could rebuild one Chicago team that had a worse championship drought... Speaking of AI - Tesla did not schedule their first AI Day until August 19, 2021 almost a full decade after Steve Jobs could no longer work on Siri... Who wants to tell them?... The retirement of the Space Shuttle in 2011 left a psychic scar an Americans whether they admit it or not. There were two symbols of the US to most people around the world - the Statue of Liberty and the Space Shuttle. Suddenly one was gone and that scar was not truly healed until SpaceX launched Crew Dragon atop a Falcon 9 from American soil to the International Space Station in May of 2020... An oldie but a goodie. He got what he deserved... If Elizabeth Warren sends out an email saying "You're going to have to believe me" then you should hold on to your wallet or hide your checkbook. You're going to have to believe me... Its been reported that House Republicans want to pass a $14.3 billion aid bill to Israel bill offset by a reduction to the IRS by $14.3 billion. Great optics but do they really expect the Senate to take up the bill or for the White House to explicitly take sides?... It also also been reported that the Florida Attorney General has accused the CDC and FDA of ignoring the risks associated with the mRNA vaccines they are recommending. People suggesting children take these "vaccines" should never be believed about anything. They have completely forgotten "First do no harm"... Ain't that the truth about new jobs... Not for nothing but Falcon 9 launches have become so commonplace that the only news of them will come if they happen to somehow crash...
