Reportedly Dan Hurley turned down the opportunity of a long-term contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. Great lifestyle move for Hurley and for recruiting and to secure his position at UConn. He turned down the Lakers for this! What can UConn or fans say to that?... Mike Campbell is a very underrated musician. Campbell wrote the Don Henley song The Boys of Summer for Tom Petty but Petty turned it down… Is there any doubt that the Al Jazeera photojournalist that was keeping a female Israeli hostage in his home in Gaza was a terrorist? Al Jazeera should publicly denounce both him and Hamas' October 7th attack or Israel would be well within their rights to block them from appearing on Israeli TV... Good point... My simple solution to solve the NCAA's issue: all players from teams with positive revenue streams coming into the college get part of a 50% share of any money teams receive from TV or league deals. Players get all of their NIL money but if they want to use university name, team logo, or uniform then team gets 50% cut of NIL contract... Don't know who Jon Tester is or what he's running for but I hope he loses big. Sick of the about half dozen emails I get from his "team" every day asking for "help" (they mean money)... Heh Heh… The same people who protested Ruth Bader Ginsburg's decision to not retire from the Supreme Court so a Democrat President could choose a replacement are oddly quiet about Joe Biden's decision to run again for President when age has clearly diminished him... Let me once again recommend Matt Ridley's great book The Rational Optimist... Code Snippets would be a good name for a nerdy band... Don't really care about the WNBA but I do like money so I'd like to bet somehow that Caitlin Clark eventually gets added to US Olympic team because of someone getting injured or dropping out...
