Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
The Celtics basically traded Marcus Smart, Malcolm Brogdon, and Robert Williams for Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday. I'm so confused. And with the Patriots a disaster and the Red Sox even worse can't believe I'm actually suddenly looking forward to the start of the Bruins season... Donald Trump on Congressman Jamaal Bowman purposefully pulling a fire alarm... So when is Elon Musk going to release the Fauci Files on X? Come on already... The true winner of the Cowboys vs Patriots 38-3 debacle was Tom Brady. How important he was to the team was made crystal clear... One has to wonder if gaining 45 more days of government spending while doing a secret side deal to fund Ukraine will cost Kevin McCarthy his job as speaker. You also have to wonder how pleased the Democrats are about this show of Republican disunity right now... Meanwhile Rep Bowman has become a national joke... The Enemy Out There would be a good name for a blog or Substack account documenting woke culture or vaccination mandates... Random idea - take a word from the newspaper on the day you were born and that becomes your band name... Simplex must be pretty happy with all the free fire alarm advertising they're getting this week... In the near future do you think boxes of sugar cereal will be placed at the checkout lanes where you find candy bars today?... Funny to see the people complaining that Portland won't deal with Miami when Danny Ainge has refused to deal with Pat Riley and vice versa for years... NFL stat I did not see coming: Jonnu Smith now of the Atlanta Falcons has more receiving yards (179) than any player on New England (Hunter Henry leads with 176)... Love the phrase "face diapers" to describe masks. Seems spot on... One of the falacies I see comparing the economy of today vs that of the Great Depression is in the costs of a new car. During the Great Depression automobiles were relatively new and cars were undependable. Today most people are better off buying a nice used car which easily are good for about 150,000 miles and much cheaper than new. These comparisons always do new vs new even though back then people were lucky to get 60,000 with a new car... You've heard of therapy dogs or equine therapy? How about breast therapy? A PTSD or overly anxious person gets to fondle large breasts for 10 minutes or so. Anyone faced with fondling large breasts forgets everything else and anything troubling them while concentrating on the act. Only half joking about this idea...
