Tuesday Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Going into the NFL season I planned to bet the under on all the Patriots games but starting to think I should have used that strategy on the Jets instead. The NYJ haven't scored over the 20 point mark even once this year... Elon Musk took over Twitter (now X) and Tom Brady-Gisele got divorced on the same day last year. Elon taking over Twitter has remained relevant (and I'm a big Tom Brady fan)... Can't be unseen... Used to be people would count down the days until Christmas or Spring Training but now people are counting down the days until November 5th and the election. Has there ever been a more lame duck President than Joe Biden. Seriously most people forget he’s even still there… Both Army and Navy won convincingly to remain unbeaten yet both dropped in the AP Top 25. Talk about being the Rodney Dangerfield's of college football... Interesting move by Israel and the Mossad… Think I speak for all Boston fans in that we are rooting for Mookie Betts and the Dodgers to beat the Yankees in the World Series. We are also rooting hard against John Henry to win the bid for the Celtics. Seriously if he does get the Celtics look for him to trade Jason Tatum or Jaylen Brown in a cost cutting move while running a story in the Boston Globe running down the player's character simultaneously. We have seen him run that strategy way too often... Is it too early to start talking about a potential Notre Dame-LSU football playoffs matchup? There would be huge ratings for that game... It does seem that way… New England “playing “soft” this year I think highlights both how important Christian Barmore’s blood cot injury is for the defense and how bad the offensive line has been for the Pats. I hope top lineman on both sides of the ball are the priorities in both the upcoming draft and free agency… And just like that the importance of beef tallow entered the American consciousness…
