Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Has to be noted that right now the Republicans actually have a majority in the Senate (50-49) because Senator Ben Ray Lujan of New Mexico suffered a stroke and is expected to be out 6-8 weeks after brain surgery. When he returns that would bring the Senate once again to a 50-50 split with VP Harris being the tie-break vote. President Biden is expected to give his State of the Union Address on March 1st. If he announces his Supreme Court nominee during the SOTU then the Republicans may "pounce" to vote down the nominee before Lujan returns... A very likely outcome from GoFundMe taking sides against the Canadian truckers and Spotify giving in to the organized woke mob against Joe Rogan will be the bankruptcy of both companies. Both companies are easily replaceable and will be replaced. The only thing GoFundMe had going for it was people's trust and the main thing Spotify had going for it was Joe Rogan and both companies just pissed away their competitive advantages. In five years they'll be as relevant as Smith-Corona... It should be noted that nobody is actually harmed by listening to Joe Rogan's podcast whereas many people have been harmed financially from listening to another of Spotify's big name podcasts - the Bill Simmons Report. Simmons' betting advice has been disasterous over the years. Keep that in mind this Super Bowl week as Simmons and crew give out more bad picks... Given that it has been reliably reported that the NFL, under the direction of General Counsel Jeff Pash - who reports to Commissioner Roger Goodell, destroyed a year's worth of football pressure measurements that would have shown that the footballs at center of the "Deflategate" scandal were well within the expected ranges, and given that Tom Brady is now retired with both plenty of money and time on his hands - I'd love to see him sue Roger Goodell. Brady could make it his retirement hobby. At the very least Brady's legal team can have a blast going through Roger Goodell's emails and texts from those years. 11 out of 12 Patriots fans want this pound of flesh out of Goodell... Hope future founders will make GoFundMe and Spotify case studies on how NOT to react to targeted mob pressure from people who never use your product anyways.... This year the Super Bowl is the day before Valentine's Day. Good luck making plans fellas. Wonder how many relationships are going to be broken up over this scheduling conflict... According to basketball-reference.com James Harden's nicknames are "the Beard," El Chapo, Jimbo Slice, and Honey Bun. Of those Jimbo Slice is my favorite and I wonder if anyone ever really called him "Honey Bun"... Just saying but I think if a network sent multiple cameras and journalists to cover the Canadian truckers protest in Ottawa and put that coverage in prime time up against the CCP Olympics on NBC - the Canadian truckers broadcast would bring in an equal or bigger audience. And those viewers would be more likely to support and buy goods from the advertisers... This awesome!... In his lawsuit against Roger Goodell - Tom Brady could rightfully claim his legacy and reputation were greatly and intentionally harmed by Goodell. Also those four games he was suspended could have really put his all-time passing marks out of reach for any future players. Please God let this happen...
