President Trump plans to give a speech to the joint Houses of Congress tonight. Sure the successes we've had in securing the border, the tax money and the fraud DOGE was able to find in just the first 30 days, and the upcoming tariffs will be big topics of the speech... Think Zelensky may be willing to take that ride out of Ukraine if it was offered today... You will know your Senators by their acts… Jimmy Johnson says he’s retiring from the Fox NFL broadcasts. Hard to believe but the Hall of Fame coach is 81-years old. I wish him all the best... The US Senate says they plan to make the Trump 2017 Tax Cuts permanent. Well that’s a start… Old enough to remember when media outlets were regularly reporting that the "the walls are closing in" on Donald Trump and that Twitter (now X) was on its last legs after Elon Musk bought it... Regularly name either The Wire, The Sopranos, or even sometimes even Deadwood as the best series of all-time but I’ve probably rewatched Band of Brothers more than all three of those series combined. Maybe time to re-evaluate my choice?… Also think President Trump will say no more funds are coming to aid Ukraine with State Department's blessing and that Congress can act on their own if they so desire. With Ukraine now polling so poorly don't think they'll have much desire to send aid either... Have to wonder if the new proposed deal in the ACC which rewards TV ratings will have more lesser known or watched schools scheduling Week 0 games and games on Thursday nights when ratings are easier? Unintended consequences here we come… Remember you will know them by their acts… It would be funny if an comedian portraying Joe Biden gave the Democratic rebuttal to Trump's speech tonight... Conspiracy theory: NFL Films is highlighting Bill Belichick and UNC on Hard Knocks because they weren't happy with the way a friend of NFL Films was portrayed in Apple's The Dynasty. Revenge is a dish best served cold... Have to think Trump’s new Executive Order making it easier to produce and process timber will be very popular in Maine - where timber is a big part of their industrial base… We’ve been watching the death of traditional media in real time.
