Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

As expected the Vikings signed WR Justin Jefferson to a 4-year, $140 million contract, which works out to roughly $35 million per year. Curious to see what the actual numbers that Minnesota will be paying. In no way begrudge Jefferson his payday - just curious... Learn something new every day: Henry Ford was directly responsible for Kingsford Charcoal. Back in the day Ford and E.G. Kingsford took wood scraps that were waste from the automobile plants and burned them in an oxygen rich environment, taking the resultant coal dust and compressing them into uniform briquettes. Thus Ford Briquettes were born - later rebranded as Kingsford Charcoal... My problem with Bud Light choosing Dylan Mulvaney as a paid spokesman is that Mulvaney's audience on Instagram is mostly under 21 - too young to drink. This was Budweiser's version of a perverted Joe Camel trying to make smoking cool to kids. Budweiser has yet to apologize and I have yet to buy a Bud Light since Mulvaney was hired... Cowboy legend, 11-time Pro Bowler, and winner on that Super Bowl XXX team Larry Allen passed away aged just 52. No identification of the cause of death was given in the obituaries I read. Didn't wake up thinking one of my life goals was to outlive that 1996 Dallas team but now it is. Sorry if that's a bit morbid but I don't like the Cowboys... Life advice... Question that has to be asked: is New York state now in play for Republicans this election because of the Trump verdict? You see multiple large crowds at Trump rallies and Senator Chuck Schumer getting loudly booed and protested at Israel parades in NYC. NY could turn Red... The College Football Hall of Fame announced 77 players and 9 coaches nominated from top colleges for next year's class including Nick Saban and Urban Myer for coaches and Aaron Donald for players’ Will be interesting to see who is chosen... If we were moving into a Rollerball type dystopia we'd see more fights in the NHL. Maybe this need for violence is satisfied by the UFC and football?... Also did not know this... If a candidate pledged that all members of the CDC who didn't sign the Great Barrington Declaration would fired and have to look for a new job on day one and that the new Surgeon General of the US could only be a doctor that signed that document - they would have my vote... Think Judge Juan Merchan may have just been pissed that spellcheck always gets his last name wrong and he figured this was the quickest way to solve that... Waiting on the White House to issue altered testimony that Anthony Fauci didn't testify that masking rules and 6 foot distance guidelines weren't made up...
