Fan of Rhode Island's James Woods - was unaware that he's credited as an Executive Producer on Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer. Looking forward to that flick... A new bill has been introduced that would ban members of Congress and their staffs from owning stocks. Doubtful this would pass but I wholeheartedly support a bill that would give members of the US Military the choice between VA care and the same private healthcare plan Congress and their staffs receive. Think this could be accomplished by the President simply threatening to get rid of the Congressional exception to Obamacare through an Executive Order. If we can afford supporting Ukraine we can surely afford this... Oliver Wendell Holmes long held but one lesson from the Civil War - "that certitude leads to violence." What was true then is true now... CMT (Country Music Television) is owned by Paramount Networks which in turn is owned by National Amusements. Can see the decision not to show Jason Aldean's music video turning into a countrywide boycott of all these companies. Would be interesting to see if this turns into the next Bud Light... Firmly believe that anyone who poses stupid questions on Social Media like, "Would you live on this deserted island with no internet for $100,000?" should be made to pay up... Speaking of online posts - saw someone mention that "gender affirming care" is just sterilization of the mentally ill with extra steps. This gave me pause then I realized that for under-age gender affirming care - the wrong mentally ill person is being punished... The number of preachers in America between 1776 and 1845 tripled! Christianity was truly a growth industry of its time... Question that keeps me up at night - how well do you think an at his prime Bruce Lee would do at MMA or in the UFC?... As an aside I'm curious to see what happens if The Sound of Freedom is shown at a Showcase Cinemas. Now that's a difficult choice... Prejudices That Masquerade as Timeless Truths would be a good name for a blog or Substack account... People forget but Snopes was once a trusted brand name. Feel like Wikipedia is heading down the same path. How often do you roll your eyes when someone uses Snopes as a source? Exactly... Honestly amused by the attempted cancellation of Jason Aldean. All they have done is make him and his video more popular than before. Its like these folks never heard about the Streisand Effect... The Salvation Army no longer howls on the street corners. Perhaps that's what the Salvation Army needs most - to howl on the street corners...
