Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
Microsoft did very well this quarter earning $56.5 billion outpacing expected Q3 earnings. Them owning Open AI - the makers of Chat GPT is not appreciated enough and it jump starts them over much of their competition. Have to wonder if Chat GPT has an AI bias against Apple products... It does worry me that Sam Altman is worried about AI's ability of super persuasion. If he's worried - you should be too... The very definition of irony... Would be funny if Jim Harbaugh adopted the nickname "Kingpin"... Patriots center David Andrews admits he's never seen Star Wars while I freely admit to never having seen either Avatar or Raging Bull. No big deal - it happens... Jimbo Fisher should do whatever necessary to hire suspended Michigan "coach" Connor Stallions as his "gardener" and just have him to attend games of upcoming opponents. Jimbo could pay him out of his own pocket - he's got plenty of cash and he certainly needs the "help"... Think most MLB GM's will adopt the use of AI in some way and that AI will across the board tell them they should be making trades with Yankees’ GM Brian Cashman. Cashman always seem to be on the losing side of a trade. Even the rival Boston Red Sox have been making trades with him... Watching lawsuits may become my new favorite pastime. You have Jon Gruden vs the NFL, Donald Trump against both NY and Georgia, and now General Michael Flynn against MSNBC for defamation for "knowingly promoting false and malicious statements." Exposing fake news all around... Now they are saying that it was a Michigan alum who has an issue with Jim Harbaugh who dropped a dime on the sign stealing "cheating." Part of me thinks that Connor Stallions walks scot free where he'll end up suing the alum and the NCAA for ruining his career. Another lawsuit to watch... Democratic Congressman Jamaal Bowman has been charged the the crime of knowingly pulling a fire alarm. Many (myself included) are upset that the charge was a misdemeanor not a felony but the main thing is Bowman will forever be known as the fire alarm knucklehead. Hopefully many opponents will use this against him... Speaking of campaign issues - Gavin Newsome of California just met with China's Xi Jinping. Sure that photo won't end up in many campaign commercials... Yesterday was both Pedro Martinez and Dave Cowens birthday. Big day in Boston, Both would thrive in today's games...
