We've seen lots of videos of people collapsing suddenly behind a podium or on a playing field but isn't it logical to assume just as many people may also be suddenly stricken while behind the wheel of a moving vehicle? Wonder how many of these deaths are happening but going under the news radar because of "driver loses control" classifications... Exhibit A on why Hollywood has their collective heads up their asses; The Fabelmans is a favorite to win Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture. The movie did just $15 million in domestic box office. Basically nobody went to see it... We're in deep trouble. First this generation was eating Tide pods. Now they're advocating for banning gas stoves. Doomed... If I were in charge I'd require each military base in the US to install a modular nuclear power plant. For any State that refused to allow the nuclear plant they would lose their military base. That's one way to jumpstart nuclear power in this country... Top Gun: Maverick is also nominated for best picture but is not expected to win. Top Gun also did $718 million in domestic box office (compare that to The Fabelmans). Is there any doubt which of these two movies people will still be watching in 10-years?... Admit it - you miss the mean Tweets... Nuclear power would allow the military bases to become independent of the power grid which is vulnerable in cases of attack. Also excess power could be sold back to local power companies making the bases more economical to run. For those States which turn down the nuclear plant the money saved in closing the base would help reduce the deficit. Win, win, win… If a bar still has a pumpkin beer on tap - I would only order bottled beer. If the bar still has a keg on tap from October they probably don't clean their lines. Stick to bottles there... Facebook and Instagram have announced they have allowed President Trump back on their platforms. Meta must be in awful shape and is getting desperate for ways to maybe pump up the stock... Nancy Pelosi sold $3 million worth of Google stock three weeks ago. This week the DOJ announces a lawsuit against Google to break up their tech monopoly. This two actions are not coincidental but Pelosi will not only get away with her insider trading - she'll profit from it. The Romans had it right - throw corrupt politicians into the Tiber River with a bag of rats tied around their heads... Teachers today have to worry about students using ChatGPT whereas back in my day teachers biggest concerns was students using Cliff Notes instead of reading the assigned books...
