So is it me our is it suddenly open season on Volodymyr Zelenskyy as soon as the US announced they are done financing the war in Ukraine? Like the guy was just a money front or something... Not sure who coined the phrase "the pendulum of sanity" but that pendulum definitely seems to swinging back to an America first common sense approach. Not sure why every other generation seems to need to learn that liberal, feel good "hippie" policies never work but each time they're tried cause more and more damage to the system. Jimmy Carter made the term "liberal" a dirty word. Today's DEI madness may be doing the same.... Ulysses S. Grant was once basically forced to resign from the Army because of his drinking. This "disgrace" may have been a blessing in disguise as he was able to leave as a Captain with no stain of alcohol on his record and re-enter the army during the Civil War at a level that allowed him to attain greatness. A good rule of life to keep in mind. A bad chapter does not mean the book is over... Nice explanation of how someone like Harvard's president got her job in the first place... Explain to me again the difference between this new pay to play proposal from the NCAA and NIL? Just seems strange to me. The big college football and basketball universities won't be joining because as Matt Rhule said a top QB will cost about $1-2 million in NIL and not $30,000 a year that Charlie Baker is proposing. Is the NCAA really going for a true Div-1 subdivision or are they sowing the seeds of their very own destruction?... "Oft evil shall evil mar" seems a phrase that best describes what DEI has done to the left wing institutions that have embraced it. Education, for example, has frittered away most of the hard earned reputation that they once held. Homeschooling and jobs no longer requiring a 4-year degree are just part of the results... Disappointed Brian Kelly's nickname hasn't become instant grits at LSU... The connections during the Mexican War and Civil War are crazy. For instance Franklin Pierce, the future President, was once the card partner during the Mexican War of Ulysses S. Grant. One war made one President while the other war made the other President.... A quick and easy costume for next year's Halloween would be a Radio Shack t-shirt and some blank nerd glasses with white tape on the bridge of the nose. Done... One tangible result of yesterday's testimony of Harvard, MIT, and Penn's Presidents is that David Portnoy and Barstool Sports vow never to hire anyone from any of those schools...
