Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Justin Trudeau announces he's stepping down as PM of Canada and Mark Zuckerberg announces he's now a big advocate of free speech and that there's no room for censorship at Meta/Facebook. Don't make the mistake of thinking these events aren't related. They’re both in response to Trump being elected... California in a nutshell... The Raiders fired head coach Antonio Pierce. Guessing part-owner Tom Brady had some say in this and also guessing he may push for Mike Vrabel to get the job. Brady is in the unique position to sell Vrabel by saying, "Hey Mike - I threw you 10 TD passes. You owe me"... There's wildfires raging once again in Southern California and while it's happening while Gavin Newsome and Joe Biden are both in office you know that Donald Trump will somehow be the one blamed for this... Supposedly Joe Biden is considering a preemptive pardon of Antony Fauci. This would be tantamount to proving Fauci being guilty but immune from prosecution. Correct me if I'm wrong but it wouldn't protect him from civil suits from anyone who lost their loved ones from Covid or even maybe anyone who had to get a shot but suffered side-effects. Sue him for every penny he's worth... Remember that Mark Zuckerberg was once OK with a former president being banned from his platform but now he's saying he's 100% pro free speech. Think many people will remember that fact. For my part I'm surprised anyone would still voluntarily be on Meta/Facebook... Reportedly Mike Vrabel will be interviewing with the Patriots today. New England has also asked to interview Detroit DC Aaron Glenn... Trump says he'll impose tariffs on Denmark if they don't volunteer to give up Greenland because it's supposedly a national security requirement for Greenland, due to its location, to be a US possession. Given that Denmark was a founding member of NATO but was not meeting their GDP funding requirements as late as 2023 but has recently ramped up defense spending - this may actually be a good tack to take... Ironic that Meta "fact checkers" say they were blindsided by fact that Meta will no longer require fact checking. They should have checked the facts such as Nick Clegg Meta's top censorship officer resigning and being replaced by a Trump supporter... Vikings DC Brian Flores says he'll sit down with any team looking for a new head coach. He already has interviews scheduled with the Bears and Jets. This opinion from Ryan Fitzpatrick does give me pause though...
