Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Getting a schadenfreude boner from Brian Flores suing the the Giants and the NFL for discrimination in hiring practices. I'm imagining the Flores defense team getting 10-years or so of emails from the NFL offices in discovery with the most salacious and racist emails getting mysteriously leaked (similar to the Jon Gruden situation but in reverse). Get the popcorn ready... Joe Biden's first State of the Union address is scheduled for March 1st. This will be the first time a SOTU address is held in March. Is there any way to bet that this will be delayed for some reason? I'd like to put money on a delay - everyone's afraid of him giving a long speech on live TV to be watched by the whole country. Best guess is the White House announces Biden has COVID on February 28th and that he's quarantining himself at the same place Justin Trudeau is hiding out... I have to say that in my opinion Brian Flores has already won his case against the NFL and the sham that is the Rooney Rule. The respect so many current and past black players and coaches have for him for his brave stance is immense. If he does not get a head coaching job this offseason I would love for either the Patriots or the Raiders to bring him on as their Defensive Coordinator. He would be a draw for any black free agents and would in effect give those teams a competitive advantage from both his coaching ability and just his aura... It would make sense for Joe Rogan to confront and combat charges of misinformation by simply widely advertising an offer to have Anthony Fauci on his show. Fauci seems willing to appear on almost any TV show possible so why would he decline? (We all know why he'd decline)...  Whoopi Goldberg was good at first but then she just went too far... Looking forward to Tom Brady announcing his return to the NFL - to play for the NY Jets. Expect the announcement to come April 1st 2022. This would make a great yearly joke from the GOAT... Ron Klain; "When does the jobs report come out?" "February 2nd?" "Crap better announce a troop movement to Eastern Europe to distract the news cycle!"... It seems obvious that with Tom Brady retiring the next retirement announcement should come from Rob Gronkowski who has said he'd never play for another QB other than Brady. It seems appropriate for the two of them to go into the Hall of Fame on the same day. Also many in New England are clamoring for Brady to sign a one-day contract to retire as a Patriot - it makes perfect sense to wait till Gronk retires and they can do the ceremonial one-day contracts together.. The Washington Commanders is the single worst team name in all of pro sports. Try and think of a worse team name than the "Commies"- you won't be able to... Trivia that may only interest me: John Vernon who is best known for his role as Dean Wormer in Animal House was also the voice of Tony Stark in the old Iron Man cartoons... Perhaps one part of the solution for the league to show a real commitment to blacks as as head coaches and GM's would be to set an example by firing Roger Goodell and naming a black NFL Commissioner.
