Feel the need to say this off the top - I am pro vaccines. However, I am also 100% against vaccine mandates or vaccine passports. I don't see that as being contradictory... If George Orwell's book 1984 was real life in 2021 - we'd have so many people shouting, "Do it to Julia!" on the first page... Nick Rolovich's religious exemption to the vaccine mandate as a devote Catholic was not granted by the State and he (along with 4 assistants) were fired as coaches of Washington State's football team. The Bible says to give unto Caesar what is Caesar's but if Caesar asks you to give up a bit of your soul or violate your religious beliefs that's too much to ask. Wouldn't you agree?.. We used to have "celebrity" physicists from Einstein, to Richard Feynman, to Stephen Hawking. Who is this generation's celebrity physicist? We have devolved to the point where we don't have a well-known physicist who has actually accomplished something and added to the sum knowledge of mankind. Now we have celebrities who play a physicist on TV like Neil deGrasse Tyson... Amuse myself by thinking if Ayn Rand was to write Atlas Shrugged today instead of the phrase "Who is John Gault?" she may have written "Who is Joe Rogan?"... Those would would believe the State would not force a person to do something against their religious beliefs must be ignorant of the Little Sisters of the Poor who had to go all the way to the Supreme Court to secure their religious rights from the Obama Administration... Two things Americans really don't like thinking about factually - our history and where our food actually comes from. The taking down of the statue of Thomas Jefferson in NYC is Exhibit A of the former... DC Comics is "coming out" with a new bi-sexual Superman. I could care less about Superman's sexuality but the idea of him having sex with anyone is really scary. There aren't words to describe how hard (and lethal) his fully engorged penis would be. Seriously believe penetration of anyone by Superman must be against the Geneva Conventions... The Difference Engine would be a good name for a blog... So how many years in the future do you think it will take for Turner Classic Movies to show Last Tango in Paris?... Of all of America's natural resources - our freedoms are the greatest and most precious things we have. It hurts my very soul to see us giving up our liberty bit by bit. To me it's worse than deciding to use the Grand Canyon as a landfill... One of the best 5-year runs of anyone in any field was by Hollywood screenwriter Jeb Stuart who was a credited screenwriter on Die Hard (1988), Another 48 Hours (1990) and The Fugitive (1993). Three classic movies in 5-years but I bet you didn't know his name (except perhaps as a Civil War general)... The people upset at the latest Dave Chappelle comedy special have somehow managed to remain in the news longer than the news about the Biden Administration abandoning hundreds of Americans in Afghanistan. Shame!... As always if this column has made you smile or think - don't be afraid to hit the like button. Also please subscribe and share with your friends. Thanks in advance...

Re Superman's sex life, SF writer Larry Niven did a delightful piece many years ago called "Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex." It's available online -- highly recommended.
Agree that it is outrageous that the "Chappelle hurt my feewings" news cycle will last longer than the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. I'm even more incensed by how the drone strike based on faulty intelligence, that killed a bunch of kids, has been completely forgotten by our media. The president hasn't faced a single question about it, let alone any hostile questions that should be expected after such a disaster.
"Man of Steel" indeed!
