The USAID Scandal

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that what's going on at USAID is rank insubordination - and he's not far wrong.

USAID has reportedly been terminated and all employees are to receive pink slips. This represents $48.3 billion in taxpayer money. The scandal has caused Democrats to launch what is being called a massive protest outside the USAID offices in DC. I don't seem to remember massive protests decrying the man-made or natural disasters in East Palestine, North Carolina, Florida, California, Hawaii and elsewhere. Then again 97% of disaster relief funds aren’t going to Democrats like USAID money is.

This also wasn't just an exercise in finding out where the USAID money is going today - it was also an audit to find out where the money has gone in the past and it found waste and corruption everywhere. It's still an open question if USAID funded the Covid 19 virus and all evidence is pointing to that they did. That's over 1 million deaths right there - have they no shame?

Reportedly USAID represents just 0.07% of federal spending. If this was a mafia investigation what's being reported would be called "skimming" and calls would be being made for RICO charges. What's different here?

Senator Chuck Schumer has decried DOGE going after USAID. The life-long public servant hasn't really explained how he grew his net worth to $81 million. What the Senator is saying and how he amassed that wealth maybe related.

Representative Ilhan Omar also decried the actions against USAID. There is nothing to prevent Senator Schumer and Rep. Omar from introducing legislation to make USAID an official part of the the federal government but I'm betting they don't because they know that Congress would never go on record voting for this sort of waste and money laundering.

It's also being speculated that DOGE is going after USAID spending both because it was low-hanging fruit of corruption and because it's relative small size. If people like Schumer and Omar can't stop this from happening to USAID - what are they going to do when the targets get larger and the waste grows exponentially?

Going after the youth of the DOGE employees is a complete smokescreen to trying to protect their money stream. The average age of the Manhattan Project was 25, the average age of NASA's mission control during the Apollo launches was 27, and don't get me started on how young our founding fathers were (outside of Benjamin Franklin). All the DOGE team is doing is finding out where the money is going - not building the world first atomic bomb, putting man on the moon, or founding our nation.

Reminder that the deep state used 20-year old Matthew Crooks to try and assassinate Donald Trump and nobody from the DNC demanded investigations. Now many of the same people are threatening a 20-year old DOGE employee. And US Attorney Ed Martin says that anyone who threatens this DOGE team will be prosecuted. FAFO.

Also remember that Linus Torvolds wrote Linux at just 21, Palmer Luckey created Oculus at 20, Vitalik Buterin did Etherium at 19, and Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook at 19. Do any of these critics use any of these products?
