Reminder that one of the main tenants of the day is to reflect and be grateful for the bounty you may have in your life. Don’t dwell on what you may want or lack - be grateful with what you have. This is a good habit to develop for all the days of your life… Washington may bring back the Redskins name for the franchise. The original logo was the profile of a Blackfoot chief painted by a Indian artist. I agree with this move... Funny because its true... Do you think if the "tush push" had a different name like the "ass hammer" it would be less popular?... Does it seem some went from calling Trump “literally Hitler” to saying maybe he won’t be so bad for the next 4-years?… Democrats meet to figure out what to do different in 2028... I would be grateful if we are able to finally get rid of Daylight Savings. Haven’t ever had a person been able to explain to me why changing the clocks made sense. Spring forward and never fall back… Only in Florida - billboards advertising live baby gators... Airplane! 75 jokes in 10 minutes… Reminder that Alabama gave Mike Shula 3 seasons before pulling the plug on him as head football coach. Then again - Nick Saban has kind of spoiled those fans to expect certain things… I know I would be grateful if those Kamala Harris campaign emails asking for donations finally ended… Happy Thanksgiving!…

Frankly, I'm tired of hearing half the blogosphere bitching twice a year about daylight saving time. As Thomas Sowell pointed out, there are no simple solutions to most problems; everything is a tradeoff. DST is no exception. Don't know if you're old enough to remember, but we tried staying on DST through the winter in 1973 in order to save energy. The result was that in most of the country kids who walked or rode their bikes to school did so in the dark, putting them at risk of traffic accidents. The uproar from parents was such that the experiment was quickly ended.
So, stay on standard time all year? That means that in summer here in Massachusetts there would be three hours of full daylight before we even get up in the morning. Personally, I'd rather have the extra hour of daylight at the end of the day so I can get 9 holes in after work.
I think it's ironic that bloggers like you seem to complain less about doing their annual taxes, a chore that typically takes hours or days, than about spending ten minutes every six months to change clocks.
