Take Action
The habit of taking action is one of the most important habits one can develop in life.
Much of what passes as knowledge is actually ancient wisdom that has been repackaged or put into modern terms or language. I am simply quoting the words I have learned even though they may have come from an earlier source. The most important thing to remember is to take action. You can think about something all day but it doesn’t count until you actually do it. The sooner you get to something - the sooner you get through it!
“What the wise do at the beginning, fools do at the end.” - Warren Buffett. Don’t be foolish.
“The magic formula is taking action. The weight of inaction increases the longer you delay. Action solves everything.” - Shane Parrish. The easiest thing to be in life - is nothing. Don’t don’t be nothing and waste you life.
“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.” - Goethe. How many of our forebears have to tell us to take action before the message sinks in?
“When specific knowledge is taught, it is through apprenticeships, not school.” - Naval Ravikant. It is not enough to think you know how to do something - you must actually do it!
“Tell me, and I forget, teach me, and I may remember, involve me, and I learn.” - Benjamin Franklin. Again - not to sound like a Nike commercial but just do it. That’s the only way you’ll truly learn it and understand what you’re doing.
“The only true way to learn something is by doing it. Yes, listen to guidance. But don’t wait.” - Naval Ravikant. Same advice just in different terms.
“If you’re going through hell, keep going.” - Winston Churchill. Even if you’re having bad results keep trying - keep going!
“Living deliberately is about awareness and purposeful action. If we take the necessary steps to craft each day deliberately, when our final day arrives we’ll be able to look back at a life brimming with joy, fulfillment and satisfaction.” - Shane Parrish. Take action but have a plan.
