No matter what Bill Belichick did in the 1st round of the NFL Draft the media in Boston were going lambast him. And when he took guard Cole Strange from UT Chattanooga their collective heads exploded. I heard one respected reporter say even if Strange ended up with a "red jacket" (meaning getting elected to the Patriots Hall of Fame) he'd still be "offended" by the pick. I'm offended by such stupidity. To me the pick of Cole Strange reminded me of the 1st round pick in 2005 of Logan Mankins who went on to be selected to 7 Pro Bowls for the Pats. That pick was roundly criticized as a "stretch" as well... If I were in charge for a day I'd make it a law that the CDC and the FDA could not take any outside sources of funds. NO money from Big Pharma. I'd also outlaw allowing Big Pharma to advertise on TV or in print. The damage being done to this country from these two things is perhaps the biggest elephant in the room nobody wants to deal with... The Obama Administration wanted higher gas prices because they reasoned people would then drive less and thus release less carbon emissions. The Biden Administration got higher gas prices simply through incompetence... The Philadelphia Eagles basically traded Carson Wentz for a 1st round draft pick and now have turned around and traded their extra 1st rounder for receiver AJ Brown. If that exchange happened in a fantasy league it would get vetoed by the Commissioner 9 times out of 10. Nice job by the Eagles front office... So Twitter gets sold and immediately admits "Oh yeah - we seem to have been overstating the number of users on the platform for years. Just shave 2 million users off of what we've been reporting. Thanks." What a cesspool... In my will, when I die all my books are going to be donated to the Library of Congress - just like Thomas Jefferson did (just kidding - I don't plan on dying)... As someone who has paid off all his student loans I have no desire to see tax dollars going to forgive student debt. Especially since more than half of all outstanding student debt is for graduate schools and degrees. If you were smart enough to get a law degree, a Masters or an MBA - you should be smart enough to figure out how to pay off the money you borrowed of your own free will... If you argue that the Biden also wanted higher gas prices to reduce carbon emissions - then what about higher food prices? Are they doing that on purpose too in an effort to end childhood obesity?... As always if this column has made you smile or think - don't be afraid to hit the like button. Also please subscribe (it's FREE) and share with your friends. Thanks in advance...

I agree 100%. I think 95% of America agrees. The only people that think this is a bad idea are the politicians addicted to bribery (and insider trading).
