Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
Of two minds when it comes to the idea the NFL should cancel the planned game in Rio de Janeiro between the Eagles and Packers and maybe move that game back to US. Think cancelling the game in Brazil might be punishing the wrong people due to Brazil's censorship efforts (especially of X and Starlink). This would punish the people who bought tickets but not the judge trying to impose his will with his censorship decree... Still think it would be funny for there to be a Where's Joe (like Where's Waldo) with a White House edition and a campaign trail edition... Like the new Toby Keith tradition at Oklahoma... Reminder that AOC vowed a year ago to leave X (Twitter) because Elon Musk purchased it and did not like the direction of the platform. She has not left as she said she would. She said up your butt with a coconut but we have not seen a coconut... The return of college football reminds me that I still think lawn signs or bumper stickers that say “In this house we call it soccer” could be big sellers. Especially in SEC territory… I miss Mike Leach… How come you hear a lot about the GOP’s “old guard” but never anything about the Dems “old guard?” It’s like they pretend historic figures like JFK or Harry Truman never existed while members of “the Squad” are celebrated even after they lose elections… Is there any excuse for a person who graduated from an Ivy League college or a place like MIT or Stanford to have their student loans forgiven? Is there any moral justification at all to force a person who did not have the privilege of going to one of those institutions pay for them?… There should be a Nightline-like parody “America Held Hostage: Day 16”… I hope you enjoyed the first full day of college football. I finished the day on the plus side of the ledger only because I accidently bet the under on the Ohio State O/U. The number was 52.5 points and they finished by scoring 52 in the game. Thank God for dumb mistakes…
