Perhaps the worst "take" I've seen about Tucker Carlson leaving Fox News is that its a good thing for Fox News because it makes them more advertiser friendly without the controversial Carlson around. Sure shows that nobody watches are always more attractive to advertisers... Maybe not as drastic a "go woke, go broke" disaster as Bud Light but Amazon Prime's $1 billion Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power was a complete flop. Just 37% of the people who started watching the updated and reimagined Tolkien fare stuck with it to the end with about two-thirds of watchers getting bored, disappointed, or disinterested. I'm a huge Tolkien fan and I was never even tempted to watch... Not sure which NFL offseason mini-drama was more silly - the will the Packers trade Aaron Rodgers to the Jets or the will the Ravens sign or trade Lamar Jackson sturm and drang. Would not be surprised if both QB's had sub par seasons this year... Heh Heh… One of my favorite US history nuggets is the fact that Alexander Hamilton's son, also named Alexander Hamilton, represented Aaron Burr's wife in her divorce suit against the man who killed his father. Aaron Burr died the day the divorce was made official... The Phoenix Suns are reportedly removing their games from cable and putting them on the free over-the-air-channels. Love this move. It is estimated that about 2 million more people would have access to the games but don't lose track of the fact that whatever local channel is chosen will be paying the Suns millions for the privilege. But that deal will also make that local channel a must have for any local cable system or streaming service... Cool optical illusion gate... Cold water flats (an apartment with no running hot water) are basically illegal in the US now. I wonder if an exception could be made for people who are big Wim Hof followers. They could actually pay more for a cold water flat than the apartments with hot water because they want the ice bath discipline... Hopeful that "woke mind virus" gets officially added to the DSM... Was pretty happy with the Patriots draft although I did find myself hoping they'd spend a sixth round pick on TCU QB Max Duggan who finished second in the Heisman Trophy and who actually won the Davey O'Brien Award as the top QB in college football. Instead Duggan went in the seventh round to the Chargers... As always, if anything made you think or smile, please Subscribe (it's FREE), hit the Like button, or share with others.
