Mexican cartel leader Rafael Caro Quintero was among 29 extradited to New York and now faces life imprisonment. Among other thing Quintero is charged with having murdered a DEA agent. Good! Hope they all rot in jail… Have to hand it to President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance - they have mastered the “good cop-bad cop” routine. There’s no pair better on the world stage and I would hate to have those two double team me in any negotiations (as President Zelensky learned yesterday)… Hung Cao was named Undersecretary of the Navy yesterday. Congratulations - well deserved… The NFL's "will he or won't he" drama is over as Travis Kelce says he'll be playing next season. Now we can start the "he should have retired" opinion columns (you know those are coming)... President Trump plans to sign an Executive Order making English the official language of the US. Opponents will note that this was never necessary in the 250 years of the country’s existence while proponents will say “we never had to codify that women’s sports were just for women either.” They both have valid points… For the longest time one of the leading causes of death for women was to die in childbirth. Modern medical practices has made childbirth much safer and as a result women regularly outlive men. Seems only fair to me… And he’s gone… In perhaps the least surprising move of the offseason - the LA Rams have restructured the contract of Matt Stafford and he’ll be returning as the team’s QB. Now they have to figure out what to do about Cooper Kupp… It has long been known that one of the first things an immigrant family will do is have their children learn English because that’s needed to get ahead in America. They treated this as both a common sense move and a necessity (which it is)… Learn something new every day: the word “evolve” only appears once in Charles Darwin’s book On the Origin of the Species… OK - I’ll say it! Big fan of Gene Hackman but not a big fan of the movie Hoosiers. I’ll normally change the channel instead of watch it…
