China has the City of Shanghai on lockdown because of 20,000 positive COVID tests. Shanghai has a population of over 24 million. This is madness!... Somehow I don't see the Democrats perceived duel party platform of touting potential child sexual abuse (fighting for the right to talk to kindergarteners about sex and lenient sentences for child porn) plus also elder abuse (see Joe Biden as President) as a winning formula going into the 2022 midterm elections. Maybe that's just me though... Old saying, "Hooker with a heart of gold," new saying, "Journalist with integrity"... Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson has two daughters but how does she know they're daughters?... If I were President for a day I'd sign an Executive Order saying that if any digital asset or identity theft is caused by someone shown to be in a foreign nation then the victim(s) of the crime would be compensated from any Federal Foreign Aid going to that nation with that Aid package reduced accordingly. Once the aid package reaches zero that's when tariffs on any imports from that country would kick in... Boston sports media love to criticize Bill Belichick for the Patriots failure to draft a top wide receiver over the years (as if Julian Edelman didn't count). Every time I hear those criticisms I think of how good we New England fans have it. Since I've been alive the Jets haven't been able to draft a starting QB (never mind a WR as good as Edelman) despite several top 10 draft picks... The Academy has banned Will Smith from attending or participating in any Oscars related event for 10-years. Roman Polanski was never banned even though he drugged and sodomized a 13-year old girl. Think of that the next time someone from Hollywood gets on their high moral horse... Some reporter should ask the head of the Church of Latter Day Saints what the church's position is on child pornography and lenient sentences for distributors of kiddie porn. I'd be interested in seeing their response in light of Mitt Romney's support for Judge Jackson for the Supreme Court... The word for the day is "Akrasia" - a Greek word translated as a "weakness of will" but in practice means to know what should be done but still not doing it. I like this word. Mitt Romney definitely suffers from Akrasia... Reminder - with all the news and rumors swirling about the Washington Football Team (not using Commies) keeping two sets of books don't forget that Jon Gruden's lawsuit against the league is also still pending. Think there's a lot of information that will eventually come out to show Goodell's NFL front office to be a dumpster fire full of swine... In an alternate universe Julian Assange was not persecuted for Wikileaks revealing government spying and in that universe the list of Jeffrey Epstein's "clients" has already been released on the web and the power structure of the rich and powerful in that universe has been cleansed as if by a giant enema...
