As get older I tend to agree with Raymond Chandler that it’s not man’s knowledge that’s important or impressive - it’s his courage… If Thunderbolt and Lightfoot taught us one thing its the need for either gun control or open carry in churches... Tidbit of history that may only interest me: the desk that the South signed the surrender to the North at Appomattox Courthouse was purchased by General Phil Sheridan who gave it as a gift to George Armstrong Custer's wife telling her that without the work of her husband this surrender would not have been possible. People tend to forget how good Custer was in the Civil War. As his direct boss Sheridan was in a unique position to know... Genuis!… Learn something new every day: writer Raymond Chandler was friends with Ian Fleming the creator of the James Bond books. Chandler even did book reviews for Moonraker and Diamonds are Forever... Sure the modern smartphone has more computing power than what put a man on the moon in 1969 but then again - so does the modern smart dishwasher. How come we never hear that as a comment? How come nobody ever uses a dishwasher to go to the moon?… There should be a modern version of a movie of a crooked warden who releases a convict in his jail because that criminal knows the location of stolen loot. Basically a modern re-make of Kirk Douglas' There was a Crooked Man... Northern Lights would be a good name for a band. If people saw you play they could say they saw the Northern Lights... Has has a point… No truth to the rumor that Apple was originally going with an ad that said their other iPads were closer to the Egyptian Pharaohs than the innovations of their new iPad Pro but they decided to go with the one they went with...
