So UFO's are real and the CIA had JFK killed. Looking forward to seeing Big Foot drop the ball at Times Square this New Year's Eve... Yes the Trump NFT collection was pretty cringe worthy but, in my opinion, nowhere near as cringe worthy as those Buff Bernie coloring books from a couple of years ago... I'm not among those who would give Jack Dorsey a pass for what happened at Twitter. It's similar to a parent who raises horrible kids who do horrible things. In my mind that parent is also responsible for their kids' actions. Jack wasn't some benign, bearded guru. He was a horrible parent who sat by and watched his kids do horrible things without lifting a finger to stop them... For those thinking that I was kidding about Buff Bernie... At its peak the prescription opioid epidemic killed about 17,000 Americans in a single year. Last year fentanyl killed about 80,000 with many of those fatalities from people who were unaware they were taking fentanyl. Why isn't this a bigger public health crisis?... A little Ancient Rome humor... Bad faith NIL (name, image, and likeness) deals will be a major problem for college sports. What's a player's recourse after finding out he/she was duped and won't be getting the money he/she thought they were going to get? Do they just leave that team? Can they get that time back as additional eligibility elsewhere? Many coaches will have nothing to do with NIL deals but will still be put in the middle. Will this lead to allowing coaches a say in granting NIL money as a quality control? Will be interesting to watch this drama unfold... Reminder - last year at this time the Biden Administration was wishing any unvaccinated person "a winter of severe illness and death for yourselves, your families, and the hospitals you may soon overwhelm." Nice folks at the Biden Administration... Speaking with a very knowledgeable soccer fan and he predicts that the winner of the World Cup match between Argentina and France may come down to what country the referee is from. A South American or Eastern European ref favors Argentina while the only way, in his opinion, to have a fair match is to have a referee from England (because England hates both countries)... Want to know why Congress is treating SBF and the FTX scandal with kid gloves? Here’s a list of politicians FTX gave money to. They don’t want to have to return those funds… The Trump NFT's also serve to remind us that Pet Rocks were once a craze...
