This may make me an awful person but any time I hear or see a story about Monkey Pox and I'm alone - I yell MONKEY POX! I just think the words "monkey pox" are funny. Maybe that's only because I don't engage in gay orgies. MONKEY POX!! I have the sense of humor of a 12-year old boy... Recently learned a helpful acronym WIN (what's important now). Always be asking yourself WIN. Reminds me of the Tom Peters quote, "Excellence is the next five minutes"... Heard someone misspeak and accidently call the Green Bay Packers the Green Packers. Now they will always be the Green Packers to me. And the Green Packers also makes a great fantasy football team name... Interesting - the University of Texas now has the biggest college endowment because they refused to divest their fund from oil and gas investments like Harvard did. Not smart Harvard... Have a friend who says one of his pet peeves is people who pluralize the word "masterpiece." For example - a pitcher can't pitch "another masterpiece" because there can only be one masterpiece - that's why it's the "master piece." My friend has a point which is why I don't have the heart to tell him that pet peeve is also supposed to be singular... Wonder how many kids got into graffiti in the 1980's because of the Johnny Bench Krylon spray paint commercials that seemed to be everywhere in those days... One way to stay sane yet also stay informed is in your head add the words, "In accordance to the prophesies" in front of any headline you read. So for example, "In accordance to the prophesies Joe Biden will be forgiving $10,000 in student debt." Life's more fun this way... Heh Heh... Another word that is supposed to be singular is the word "priority." If you have multiple priorities - you don't actually have a priority... Here's a question - did any of Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson have vaccine mandates as part of employment at those companies? If not - how could vaccine mandates have been justified anywhere else?... As always if this column has made you smile or think - don't be afraid to hit the like button.
