Skeptical of placing any validity on using Black Friday revenue as any sort of economic barometer. Fewer and fewer people are shopping in person on a particular day and online the Black Friday deals are starting earlier and lasting longer. People no longer feel any urgency to shop on Black Friday so why use that revenue as a measure... Heard the phrase describing Europe as a "lovely museum" and have to say it resonated with me. Would you listen to most museum directors about any current event topic? Me either... Who knew? At the time of Three Mile Island incident in 1979, the US was on pace to build new nuclear rectors every year. A pace that would have yielded 4,2 BkWh (billion kilowatt hours) of power by today every year. In 2022 the US used 2022 used 4.2 BkWh total energy I'm pro nuclear if you haven't noticed... Feel the same way... One of the first rules created for Computer Science was "garbage in/ garbage out." This is equally true of X or any social media. Curate who you follow carefully or your timeline will be garbage. I'm fine with mine and am always skeptical of those who decry their social media feeds as trash... Oh to have the simple joy of a dog and a pile of leaves. Seems to be true of every dog... Who knew II? The author William Kennedy was a longtime friend of Hunter S. Thompson and once employed him in Puerto Rico... Elon Musk says that the "more remote the location, the better the connection, as Starlink has fewer user terminals to serve in remote areas." Makes sense as individual satellites share total bandwidth just like cable companies (non-fiber) - which is why upload speeds are limited for both and the more people online the slower the speed... This is how ridiculous they sound... Reportedly cancer cells have 10x the number of glucose receptors. So starving them of food by eating meat or foods low in sugar should reduces the incidence of cancer. Would be interested in seeing the stats for people who have reversed Type 2 diabetes by carnivore or other diets... What came first - Freddy Mercury dying in 1991 or the advent of Black Friday? Or was it named Black Friday because Freddy Mercury died?'...
